We do allow our data to be used for mailing on the following terms:
1) The goods which we supply are covered by copyright, but may be used by the Purchaser for their own purposes. They may not be used as a basis for selling direct mail services to others, nor may copies of the whole or part be made for any purpose whatsoever by any form of copying process including data processing systems without our written consent.
2) Payment for the goods in full is received prior to their usage.
3) No part of the data may be used for compiling another list or directory. In order to preserve our copyright the goods contain a small number of check addresses. Any breach of this copyright will result in legal proceedings.
4) The Purchaser may pass the data to a third party mailing house ONLY if The Purchaser informs Data Publishers Ltd of the name and contact details of the mailing house and The Purchaser takes all reasonable steps to ensure that the data remains secure and is not used by the mailing house on behalf of any other party.
5) We do allow our data to be used for emailing on the following terms: Whilst we check and update email addresses regularly, the Purchaser accepts that a failure rate of 10-15% of emails is likely due to matters beyond our control, i.e. spam detection software, server failures, etc. as well as constant changes in the email addresses.
6) The information contained in our directories has been provided from our own research and by direct contact with the companies contained herein. The data has not been checked against the fax, email, telephone preference services or the Royal Mail PAF data, and the onus is upon the Purchaser to carry out checks as they may require.
